By Chris Puls- President of Dog Scouts of America

4-hour seminar- NOW ONLINE!

Session description:
It applies to every dog behavior from basic pet manners to champion level show dogs within every sport or dog activity- no force, pain, threats or yelling needed! Learn how to use the scientifically proven "Laws of Learning" to create a communication system between you and your dog to get the behaviors you want.

Seminar will cover:
Busting myths – You don’t need to use food, you don’t even need to use a clicker, these methods work on ANY animal, you can use these methods to teach ANYTHING. If you tried clicker training before and it didn’t work, you need this info!

Basics of clicker training (with video and live examples)- What is clicker training and why is it so effective?  Learn how this method can quickly make a big change in your dog's behavior for the better.

Applying reward based training to daily life- You don't need special training sessions.  Learn to use "life rewards" as you interact with your dog in your normal daily life to strengthen behaviors your dog knows or to create new ones.

Getting your dog's attention- This is an important step to teaching your dog just about anything.  By making it a game, or giving your dog a job to do, you can more easily refocus the dog on you.

Teaching Self-Control- This is the key to the doggie universe!  If you have a high energy dog or one that gets "out of control" in some way or in certain situations, you'll want to learn these simple games to switch your dog from reactive and out of control back to a calm, thinking and learning state of mind.

10 tips for dealing with any problem behavior- If your dog does something you don't like, by using these tips you are very likely to find a solution. This explains how to use rewarding methods to "stop unwanted behaviors".

Why not punishment? Many national and international veterinary and training organizations are developing public statements in which they state why they are against the use of punishment, force and threats for dog training and why they are against the use of choke collars, prong collars and electronic collars.  We will touch briefly on why they feel that way and offer information on alternative humane training equipment.

Recognizing signs of stress in your dog Your dog might be trying to tell you he is confused or scared or stressed, but if you don't know the subtle signs you might not realize what your dog is trying to tell you.

This file was too large for a single .pdf file, so I had to break it into 3 smaller .pdf files, but they are still large files.  It may appear that the download stops, or takes a long time, but go get some coffee or a meal and it will eventually load :-)
